USE

Used after a spontaneous abortion or early miscarriage in order to ensure that no fetal tissue remains inside the uterus. If there is excess bleeding, the cannulla can be retained and negative pressure is to be maintained for 20 30 mnts. Also used to stop bleeding in AUB abortions.

DESCRIPTION

This cannulla is used for removal of Intra Uterine Polyps. This cannulla is inserted into the uterine cavity and connected to suction and a negative pressure of 400mm HG is produced. Then the cannulla is rotated clockwise and anticlockwise for a few times. This will result in radical curettage and suction of the uterine cavity.
